Toronto Indoor Playground Jungle Land Reopening

September 08, 2020

Jungle Land is happy to announce that we are reopening our doors to the public starting September 8, 2020. We are happy to be one of the Toronto indoor playgrounds reopening with full adherence to the guidelines set forth regarding COVID-19 safety and sanitation.

As part of our new safety measures, we will be open on the weekdays only, from 10 am to 5 pm.

Tickets will be sold at the reception area. They will be timed tickets, which will be valid for a duration of 2.5 hours starting from the time of purchase.

As is expected of all Toronto indoor playgrounds reopening, guests will have to wear face masks or coverings except children under the age of five as well as children engaged in physical activity. This means that if your child is using the play structures or engaging in any type of physical game, they will be exempt from wearing face coverings. There are two more exceptions to the face mask rule: those who are unable to wear face coverings without assistance, and those with underlying medical conditions.

This by-law is expected to expire on November 30, 2020, but we will have to await further instructions from the York Region government regarding the protocol for Toronto indoor playgrounds during that time as there is a possibility of extension.

On top of this, Jungle Land has implemented a number of other safety measures to ensure the wellbeing of our guests:

  • There are numerous hand sanitizing stations to be found throughout our premises.
  • Safety reminders have been posted around the premises.
  • Temperature readings will be taken before guests are allowed access to common areas.
  • Access to our large play maze will be limited to children only. Every child will be asked to sanitize their hands before proceeding into the structure.
  • The ball pit will remain closed until further notice.

Each guest will be asked to sign a liability waiver prior to accessing the common areas. This waiver includes a declaration that neither the individual nor their family members have traveled outside of Ontario in the last 14 days.

The waiver also requires you to acknowledge that you have not had any contact with anyone with acute respiratory illnesses or who has COVID-19. You will also need to acknowledge that neither you nor your family members are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever
  • New onset of cough
  • Worsening chronic cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Sore throat
  • New onset of headaches
  • Nausea/vomiting, diarrhea or abdominal pain
  • Unexplained fatigue/malaise/muscle aches
  • Pink eye
  • Runny nose/sneezing
  • Nasal congestion
  • Chills
  • Hoarse voice
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Decrease or loss of sense of smell or taste

It is important to us for our guests at our Toronto indoor playground to feel safe during their time in our premises. These measures have been implemented to decrease exposure as much as possible while giving guests the peace of mind they require.
